Insurance claims

You control your claim. We do the legwork.

We meet your insurance adjuster at the property, document all of the damaged property while they are standing there, and walk you through it step by step. Because we are a full service general contractor, the same company that tarps the roof also puts the drywall, cabinetry and flooring back afterwards. Wind, hail, fire and water.

A roof does not fail politely, and it does not fail on a schedule

Damage grows. Insurance funds have time limits. Delayed claims get denied more often, because it gets harder to show the storm caused it. None of that is a sales pitch, it is just how the timeline works, and it is why the inspection is free and quick to book.

Beyond the roof

The same crew finishes the rest of the house

A storm rarely stops at the roofline, and a remodel rarely stops at one room. We are a general contractor first, so the concrete, the fence, the patio cover and the kitchen are all in house rather than subbed out and chased.

Exterior structures

Concrete
Slabs, sidewalks and driveways. The subgrade prep decides the crack pattern years before anyone sees a crack, so that is where the time goes.
Fencing
Set deep enough for coastal wind, with the line walked and agreed before the first post goes in.
Patio covers and pergolas
Attached or freestanding, tied into the existing roofline so it reads as part of the house rather than something bolted on later.

Inside the house

Kitchen and bathroom remodeling
Custom showers, tile, quartz and granite countertops, and the finish carpentry that actually ends a job instead of dragging it out.
Flooring
LVP, tile, hardwood, laminate and stained concrete, over a subfloor that has been checked flat and dry first.
Framing, doors, windows and drywall
Plus texturing and painting, metal buildings, barndominiums, garages and workshops. If it is part of the building, ask.

You will know when we are there

A marked van, a sign in the yard, and a crew in the same shirts

It sounds like a small thing until a storm brings every out of town truck in Texas down the Gulf Freeway. We have worked out of League City since 2014, the office is on the Gulf Freeway, and the crew that starts your roof is the one that finishes it.

I had an outstanding experience with Upper Hand Roofing from start to finish! ... Kyle was punctual, courteous, and took the time to explain everything in detail ... They provided a clear, honest estimate with no hidden fees ... I'm thrilled with the new roof

Before you call

The questions we get after a storm

You control your claim and we provide the guidance and the support. In practice that means we meet your insurance adjuster at the property, document all of the damaged property while they are there, and walk you through the process step by step so nothing gets missed. We are a full service general contractor, so the same crew that tarps and roofs can also handle drywall, cabinetry and flooring once the claim is settled.

Three reasons, and they compound. Damage grows, so a small opening after a storm becomes a wet deck and a ceiling. Insurance funds have time limits. And delayed claims get denied more often, because it becomes harder to show the damage came from the storm. If you think something happened, get it looked at while the evidence is still on the roof.

No. Roofing, siding and gutters are what we are known for, but we are a full service residential and commercial general contractor. That covers concrete slabs, sidewalks and driveways, fencing, patio covers and pergolas, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, flooring, framing, doors, windows, drywall, texturing and painting, and metal buildings and barndominiums.

We are based in League City and work across Galveston County, Harris County, Brazoria County, Chambers County, Fort Bend County, Liberty County and Montgomery County. That takes in Friendswood, Dickinson, Texas City, Kemah, Webster, Galveston, Alvin, Pasadena, Baytown and most of Greater Houston.

There are more of these, including what things actually cost, on the questions page.

Get someone on the roof who will tell you the truth about it

The inspection is free. We do a full assessment, evaluate any storm damage, photograph what we find, and tell you honestly whether it is a repair or a replacement. Sometimes the answer is a repair.
